3. How do you differentiate your products from other products on the market?
My work is all hand made, so it would have a completely different feel to a product that has been manufactured by machine. Each item is finished off by a craftsperson who puts a little of their character and soul into the piece. No item is exactly the same as any other item but that is what makes it special and unique. We also do not compromise on quality and materials. Just by picking up a piece and feeling the fit and weight in your hand you know that you are handling an item that is going to last a lifetime. These items are collectible. They are not trendy fashion items that are disposable after a season. The design is also different to other pieces as it is a marriage between the western aesthetic and diversity and rich culture of South Africa.
I have to make an item that works, and that gives me pleasure and makes me proud. What is important to me is, that it give joy to my customers, and puts a smile on their faces.
